Justine Johnson earned her RYT 200 Certification in May 2018 and her ACE Group Fitness Instructor Certification in June 2019. She has completed additional training in Yoga for Kids, Class Themes & Sequencing and Anatomy of Yoga. Her early yoga experience began in elementary school, where yoga was incorporated into the Montessori classroom. As an athlete competing in high school and college Cross Country and Track, yoga provided an excellent compliment to rigorous training. Justine continued practicing yoga through two pregnancies and benefited from the strengthening and breath work in preparation for labor. The demands of being a full time working parent while trying to stay healthy and active made the need for the grounding calm of yoga more apparent then ever and inspired her to pursue her teaching certification. She hopes to show that yoga is available to people of all ages, shapes and fitness levels and works to teach postures, breath work and mindfulness that participants can take from the practice space out into their daily lives. Outside of teaching and practicing yoga, Justine enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and dog as well as exercising at Training Personally, running, camping and cooking.
